Tasting Notes
Nose:
Wood spices, marmalade, orange peel, grape, nutmeg, sweet tobacco, toffee apple, baking spices, caramel and a light red wine note
Palate:
Rich, jammy dark fruits, creamy texture with a soft, tingling spice followed by a salted caramel finish
Overall:
A very balanced single malt whiskey, with the sherry influence prominent but not overpowering the malt character. Described as “Proper Dunville’s” and potentially one of the best 12 year old Palo Cortado casks released by Dunville’s.
