Battle of the Blends & Special Musical Guest Jimmy Keane: Lock-in Livestream

October 4, 2020

”In the halls of Irish music, one musician is unanimously recognized as the best at his instrument. The best who ever was. Jimmy Keane on piano accordion has become what it means to be the best in any art form. It is not enough to say he is a master musician. When it comes to the piano accordion, he is the maestro. The best. Period. No argument. My God, this man is a gift!”

So said journalist Bill Margeson about our musical guest this week. And it doesn’t stop there…the great Christy Moore said that “Jimmy Keane is a true giant on the accordion.”

Jimmy joins us from Chicago and plays some tunes while we compare and contrast three different blended whiskeys that are widely available in the United States.

We dive into the maturation, blending and flavor profile of: The Whistler Oloroso Sherry Cask Finish, Jameson Caskmates Stout Edition and Slane Irish Whiskey.

We also make a unique cocktail with each of these three whiskeys while we listen to great music, hang out with and toast one another to celebrate the end of another week.

I’m glad you’ve joined us.

Irish whiskeys sipped this week:

  • The Whistler Oloroso Sherry Cask Finish,
  • Jameson Caskmates Stout Edition
  • Slane Irish Whiskey.
