Battle of the Whiskey Nations: Lock-in Livestream
This Friday night on the Lock-in is the Battle of the Whiskey Nations – USA vs Scotland vs Ireland, with a Scotch and a Bourbon making a rare appearance and for good reason.
We’re joined this week by a very special guest – Irish whiskey legend John Cashman – a global brand ambassador who has represented some of the biggest whiskey brands in the world.
John has been flying the flag for Irish whiskey since he first entered the world of Irish whiskey in a professional capacity in 1997.
Not only has he represented Irish whiskey around the world, he has served as global brand ambassador for the Bourbons and Scotches from the famed Beam Suntory stable.
There are few in the whiskey industry with as much diverse experience and knowledge of world whiskeys and no better man to join us and walk us through three whiskeys that he believes best represent the various battling nations.
– Makers Mark (USA)
– Glengoyne 14yr old (Scotland)
– Kilbeggan Small Batch Rye (Ireland)
Agree or disagree with John’s choices, he explains to us why he chose these whiskeys and we have a spirited debate about the difference between the three nations and their whiskeys.
It’s a great auld session so for the first time ever, I’m recommending you bring a bourbon or a scotch to this week’s Lock-in as well as an Irish whiskey.
Irish whiskeys sipped this week:
