The Dublin Liberties Distillery, which officially opened its new facility and visitor centre after a €10 million investment, is located in the heart of Dublin’s historic Golden Triangle, once the epicenter of Irish whiskey production. 

The distillery is owned by Quintessential Brands, a company which sells a myriad of drinks including gin, whiskey and Irish cream liqueurs.

In 2017, the company set about restoring a 400-year-old building in The Liberties are of Dublin. It can count Teeling Whiskey, Roe & Co and Pearse Lyons Distillery as neighbors. 

The Dublin Liberties Distillery formally opened its doors to consumers in February 2019 after two years of painstaking construction. Darryl McNally is Master Distiller at The Dublin Liberties Distillery and has been overseeing both the production of their own spirit and the blending of their current iterations.

DLD also has a sister plant, First Ireland Spirits, which have been sourcing whiskey for about 22 years..

The Dublin Liberties Distillery offers tours daily where you can see their state of the art distillery in operation with their copper pot stills being a dominating feature of each of the tours. Guests can choose from a number of experiences on offer catering for different levels of interest from whiskey enthusiasts to connoisseurs.

The onsite bar offers a chance to repose for a cocktail after you have tasted their range of  blended and malt whiskeys.

They hope to accommodate up to 80,000 visitors a year. Will you be one of them?
