McConnell’s Irish Whisky, Redbreast Small Batch & Trader Joe’s 15yr old Single Malt: Lock-in Livestream
The Lock-in this week brought great whiskeys, great stories and great guests.
Sarah Kennedy from McConnell’s Irish Whisky joined us to share the history and story of this famous Belfast brand, originally established in 1776 – an important year on both sides of the Atlantic! We talked about its revival, sampled the current incarnation of the brand and heard about their future distillery plans in Belfast.
Paul O’Cahan, founder of Belfast Whiskey Week, also joined us to continue the chat about all things Belfast whiskey, his amazing whiskey festival and his plans over the next year to bring more Irish whiskey to more people around the world.
In addition to sipping on McConnell’s Whisky, I popped open the recently released Redbreast Small Batch as well as my recent discovery, Trader Joe’s own-brand 15 year old Single Malt Irish Whiskey, which we suspect comes from the Bushmills Distillery.
Now is a great time to sit back in your comfortable chair, away from the cold winter outside and share some stories and sips together with two great guests and three wonderful Irish whiskeys on the Lock-in replay.
Irish whiskeys sipped this week:
- Redbreast Small Batch
- McConnell’s Irish Whisky
- Trader Joe’s 15 year old Single Malt
