Beginning in November, each of our monthly Meet The Maker events will be a masterclass in one specific element or area from the world of Irish whiskey.

 

With panels of the leading experts in their fields and covering distilleries and brands of all sizes, each event is a chance to learn from the makers directly and pose your questions directly to them.

 

November kicks off with arguably one of the most important parts of whiskey making - where whiskey flavors are created and honed and alcohol is produced - brewing.

 

We'll be joined by two makers from opposite ends of the country and with vastly different approaches and scales to their brewing and businesses - Brendan Carty, founder of Killowen Distillery, who has one of the most manual and experimental approaches to brewing in the country and Neil Conway, Head Brewer from Waterford Distillery, where Neil designed the intricate brewing system that is tailored to every batch of whisky produced at the distillery. Each of our makers will share their processes, explain how they contribute to final flavors and take questions from our Club members live on the night.
