Lough Ree Distillery was founded by the Clancy family, the idea started during a dinner conversation.
After thinking and planning about it for long, they finally decided where to build their new venture: Lanesborough, where they grew up.
It was the bridge connecting East and West, the roads and river that connect Lanesborough to the rest of the region.
Lough Ree Distillery is all about connection: connecting Whiskey tradition with modern technology. Connecting the gentle pace of rural Ireland with the confidence of a new generation.
