Fionnán O’Connor is acknowledged universally as the preeminent historian on Irish whiskey and its origins. No stranger to the Stories & Sips Whiskey Club, Fionnán was the star of our members-only seven-part podcast The History of Irish Whiskey last year and is the author of A Glass Apart, the go-to resource on Irish single pot still whiskey. 

With the announcement of a new book and an accompanying whiskey, Fionnán expands his repertoire to officially become an Irish whiskey “maker”. Fionnán will join us for a members-only event where he will expand on his previous topic of the history of Irish whiskey and tackle the even-more-encompassing History of Distillation in Ireland, a fascinating topic complete with a cast of characters, fair share of anecdotes and a tremendous throughline to the whiskey we know today.
