The Sexton, Black Bush and The Causeway Collection: Lock-in Livestream
We were thrilled to be joined this week by two women from a famous distillery on Ireland’s northern shores who are making a mark in the world of Irish whiskey.
Alex Thomas, Master Blender for The Sexton Irish Whiskey, walked us through the production, inspiration, nose and taste of this unique and approachable Single Malt.
Lauren McMullan, Brand Ambassador for Bushmills shared the details of her role and introduced us to two very different expressions from the Old Bushmills Distillery – the staggeringly good Black Bush Blended Irish Whiskey and one of Barry’s top whiskeys for 2020 – Bushmills 1995 Single Malt Malaga Cask from the Causeway Collection. (released in Ireland only)
It was the chance to find out everything we wanted to know about one of the oldest (oldest? not oldest?) distilleries in Ireland and hear about the new direction the distillery is going with exciting new releases, of which more will be coming soon.
