The St. Patrick’s Week Lock-in (Part 1): Lock-in Livestream

It’s almost St. Patrick’s Day and we started the celebrating early this year!

This is the St. Patrick’s Week Lock-in (Part 1).

I was joined by my trusty and far more able co-host Donna Stewart and we shared Irish stories, legends and myths as we sipped on not 2, not 3 but 6 different whiskeys.

In the interest of safety and responsibility, we had three each!

This week I sipped on:
– Clonakilty Port Cask Finish
– The Story
– Method & Madness French Chestnut

all while sharing the tastes and tales of these whiskeys.

Donna sipped on:
– Tullamore D.E.W 18 year old Single Malt
– Green Spot Chateau Leoville Barton
– Kilbeggan Single Pot Still

She walked us through why these are some of her favorite whiskeys ever.

Not content with sipping whiskey to celebrate the upcoming St. Patrick’s Day, we were also joined by Guinness Brewery Ambassador Eoghain Clavin who shared some stories about the stout, talked about about some of the St. Patrick’s Day festivities Guinness is part of and generally just raised the roof with us.

To accompany all that storytelling and sipping there was some much needed singing and who better to make a third, return appearance than Hannah Crowley who joined us to share some traditional Irish tunes, a few new ones and join in the banter.

This Lock-in also happened to be our birthday! We celebrated one full year of Lock-ins so there may have been a candle to blow out in addition to celebrating the wearing of the green.
