A big welcome to Peter White who joins Stories & Sips as contributor to share his knowledge and passion for Irish whiskey.
Peter is a retired fireman with Dublin Fire Brigade. He has a first class degree in business, a diploma in journalism and has attended the Midleton Academy and Dingle Whiskey School. He has contributed to Irish Whiskey Magazine and is a founder member and former President of the Irish Whiskey Society.
Peter started the Irish Whiskey Society, Dingle Chapter in 2016 and is the ideas guy behind the Dick Mack’s Pub’s whiskey project. His interests involve everything whiskey, football, climbing, cycling and hill-walking.
Peter will write about his whiskey travels, his beloved Dingle and his work with Dick Mack’s Pub over the coming weeks and months.
In his first article for us, Peter sits down with Graham Coull, Master Distiller at The Dingle Distillery to ask him about his transition from Scotland to Ireland, his experimental mashbills, the use of peat and his vision for the whiskey at the distillery.
