The Legendary Paddy Behind Paddy Irish Whiskey

September 13, 2018

In 1912, the Cork Distilleries Company changed the name of their whiskey to honor a man who had worked for the company for almost 50 years. But he was no ordinary man. His name was Patrick J. O’Flaherty and his legend lives on today.

In this video I celebrate his life, his lovely whiskey and his enduring legacy in the world of Irish whiskey.

I’ve also shared a lovely little animation celebrating the introduction of Paddy Centenary, a celebratory release of pot still whiskey to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Paddy Flaherty’s retirement.
