Join Stories & Sips founder Barry Chandler in New York on February 6th to celebrate a decade of The Dead Rabbit with a one-of-a-kind immersive experience exploring the past, present and future of Irish whiskey through 6 extraordinary pours at our “Tradition, meet Tomorrow” event.
Barry will be joined by Director of Irish Whiskey for The Dead Rabbit, Mark McLaughlin and Midleton Micro-Distillery Head Distiller Eva Doherty for a very special night of stories and sips at The Dead Rabbit in lower Manhattan.
Lucky guests will be welcomed with The Dead Rabbit’s famous Irish Coffee before being led on an energetic, entertaining and educational journey through the tales and tastes of Ireland’s famous spirit.
While we’re keeping some of the lineup a secret, you can be assured that whiskeys worthy of such a celebration will be enjoyed, some no longer produced, and covering the gamut of Ireland’s styles, culminating in the pouring of the oldest and rarest Irish whiskey to ever be poured at a public tasting event in New York – the 33yr old Method & Madness Single Pot Still, finished in Japanese Mizunara Casks. Only 11 bottles of this extraordinary whiskey will be available in the United States and we are fully ready to empty one of them on the night!
In addition to six extraordinary whiskeys, guests will be treated to a menu of food delights from The Dead Rabbit kitchen as well as a chance to sample the award-winning cocktail menu during our event.
Stories & Sips is privileged to have been invited to participate in the week-long anniversary celebrations of the world’s most famous Irish bar and to showcase and celebrate the very best of Irish whiskey with its biggest fans.
Guests will not leave empty-handed. Each guest will receive a custom tote bag filled with a copy of “Paddy Drinks” and “From Barley to Blarney”, two of The Dead Rabbit’s books as well as a copy of The Spirits of Ireland tasting guide.
The very limited number of tickets are priced at $295 per person and will go on sale via email to members of the Stories & Sips Whiskey Club at 2pm EST/7pm Irish time on Thursday, Jan 5th so keep an eye on your email.
