Two Stacks Irish Whiskey: Our First Club Blend

Did you know that the name Two Stacks Irish Whiskey is inspired by the famous Old Dundalk Distillery that once housed the two largest chimney stacks in Ireland?
These chimneys, together with the North Star were used as navigation by brave Seafarers. The distillery operated in Dundalk, County Louth, between 1708 and 1926. Two of the distillery buildings, the grain store and maltings, still exist and now house the County Museum and Dundalk Library.
Today, the name Two Stacks Irish whiskey is synonymous with unique whiskey blends, innovative cask finishes and approaches to packaging.
Inspired by a visit to the recently opened Blending Room at Two Stacks HQ, we wondered late last year whether there might be interest and an opportunity for us to formulate our very own custom blend for our Club members.
The team at Two Stacks couldn't have been more interested in the project and with the help of Stories & Sips blender Eric Flynn we set about selecting casks and sampling components.
No Club blend would be complete without the input of our Club members so in December 2023, 40 lucky Club members were appointed apprentice blenders for a day and shipped blending kits to help formulate the perfect club blend.
Blender Eric led a masterclass in blending and with a few whiskey blends created, it was down to the members to vote on their vote. And that is what we are now releasing - a Club-sourced blend, distilled at Great Northern Distillery, matured and blended at Two Stacks Irish Whiskey and available now exclusively to Stories & Sips Whiskey club members in bottle and can form.

Created by Two Stacks Irish Whiskey, the original Dram in a Can has sold more than 2 million units worldwide since its launch three years ago and when Two Stacks asked if we'd like a caned version of our custom blend we couldn't say no.
